Section 01 · It Begins With Your Mission
Start with the mission, not the model
Every acquisition begins with a single question: what is this aircraft meant to do? At AlphaJets, we call this defining your mission profile, and it shapes every conversation that follows.
Sometimes the answer is straightforward — crew configuration, passenger count, typical range, and how often you travel. Often it is not. Your flying may blend business and personal travel. You may split your time between short regional legs and long transcontinental trips. Acquisition cost and long-term operating economics may carry equal weight in your decision.
When your mission resists a simple category, we help you weigh it with discipline rather than assumption.
Section 02 · The 80/20 Principle
Buy for the flying
you actually do
A capable aircraft is one that serves the majority of your missions exceptionally well. We guide clients toward the aircraft that answers roughly 80 percent of their flying, then build a considered plan for the remaining 20.
If most of your travel involves regional trips with a small party, a light jet may serve you beautifully — even when a handful of trips each year reach across the country. For those, supplemental charter can be the more rational choice than acquiring more aircraft than your typical mission requires. If you routinely move a full team on multi-day itineraries, a midsize or super-midsize cabin may be the right foundation, with charter filling the occasional outlier.
The objective is never the largest aircraft. It is the right one.
Section 03 · The Questions
Clarity comes
from the
right questions
A conversation with your advisor often begins here.
01
Will you fly as pilot in command, or retain a professional crew?
02
Where do you travel most often, and how frequently?
03
How many passengers typically travel with you, and what do they expect of the cabin?
04
What is your acquisition budget? Your annual operating budget?
05
Are there tax or depreciation considerations to structure around?
06
How long do you intend to hold the aircraft before your next transition?
An acquisition is rarely a matter of pure arithmetic. Most are a balance of sound economics and the genuine pleasure of ownership. If a particular aircraft aligns with your mission and you are comfortable with its acquisition and operating profile, it may well be the right one — even when it exceeds what the numbers alone would prescribe.
Section 04 · An Advisory Team That Acts
Focused entirely
on turbine aircraft
AlphaJets is a dedicated turbine advisory — a team focused entirely on the jet and turboprop market and the owners who move within it. That focus is the advantage: specialists who know these aircraft, direct-acquisition and dealer strength that widens your options, real-time market intelligence, and a global network of aviation professionals working on your behalf.
We bring this to every acquisition. We would welcome the opportunity to bring it to yours.
